The IT Business Analyst Lead, has a strong
understanding of information systems, business processes, the key drivers and
measures of business success, and will be integral in decision making that may
be impacted by technology.
Works with business leaders and act as a liaison between IT
and business units or vendors.
Acts as a business relationship manager responsible for the
collection, analysis, review, documentation and communication of business needs
and requirements to the IT organization.
Leads the gathering of business needs as well as the design
of solutions through direct interaction with business unit leaders.
Focuses on developing and improving business processes at all
times, assisting with the development of metrics, both within the technology
and business organizations.
Identifies, proposes and influences business solutions,
negotiates deliverables and requirements across multiple business customers or
organizations.
Ensures that the design and integration of proposed system,
software and hardware solutions leads to the development and growth of the
business through effective use of technology.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science,
Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
7 to 10 years of relevant technical and business work
experience with at least 5 years of experience within the retail industry and
with retail merchandising systems.
Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills to influence
stakeholders from senior business leaders to IT staff.
Outstanding communications skills; able to articulate complex
technical topics for non-technical audiences.
Must understand corporate business imperatives, information
technology trends and current IT capabilities to create an integrated strategy
that is compelling, realistic and achievable.
Strong understanding of business and IT strategy framework
and techniques.
Strong process design skills; knows how to apply process
analysis, design tools and techniques.
Project management skills; ability to multi-task and keep all
projects on schedule.
Experience writing SQL queries using products such as TOAD in
an Oracle environment.
PMP, OMG certifications preferred.
