Looking for a VP of Sourcing

Great opportunity with a growing Home Textile Company in NJ.  Must have extensive experience       

with sourcing from a global (China)  perspective and have experience with home textiles.

Main Responsibilities:

*           Overall responsibility covering Sourcing, Production Coordination and P/L as it relates to doing business in China for the company.

*           Be accountable for planning, defining and developing strategic and business objectives of China sourcing in accordance with the company’s objectives;

*           Manage and direct the company’s operations to achieve all business plans, objectives and profitability targets;

*           Ensure that customer satisfaction is achieved in terms of the timely delivery of quality products and services;

Requirements:

a.     Functional Work Experience 

*           At least 5 years track record experience in Sourcing/Purchasing in home textile, textile or garment industry;

*           Ability to juggle various functions at one time, but stay focused on the big picture and the bottom line;

*           A team builder with team-working spirit, organizational development ability and mentoring skills;

*           Demonstrated skills and capability of creating/managing/motivating a cohesive team;

*           General knowledge of Private Label business would be a plus;

*           A true sense of urgency and quality control.
